An Attack on Our Public Schools
The federal “tax credit scholarship” voucher program, established under Section 70411 of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, is part of the federal effort to eliminate the Department of Education and dismantle public education throughout the country.
The Wrong Approach
Massachusetts has the strongest public education system in the nation because we invest in public schools that serve all students. Joining this scheme would put our standing at risk. Instead of opening the door to privatization, we should focus on strengthening public education and making it more equitable.
